Prendia - Prenatal Screening
Prendia is a comprehensive, non-invasive prenatal screening test that can detect the presence of possible chromosomal abnormalities in the fetus.
- It is safe for the fetus, as it is performed using a simple blood sample.

Prendia Start
Prendia START analyses the frequent autosomal anomalies 21, 18 and 13, which represent more than 75% of all anomalies. The determination of numerical sex chromosome anomalies (X an Y chromosomes) can be carried out at no extra cost as a supplement to Prendia START.

Prendia START costs CHF 459.* If the risk of trisomy 21, 18, or 13 determined by the first trimester test is 1:1000 or higher, the test is covered by mandatory health insurance (OKP; basic insurance). The examination of sex chromosomes (X and Y) can be ordered at no additional cost as a supplement to Prendia START.

Prendia Expert
In addition, Prendia EXPERT also detects monosomy X and trisomy X, as well as rare trisomies (e.g., 7, 16, 22) and some rare but serious structural chromosome abnormalities.
