A. In general

By means of this Privacy Policy, we inform you about how we collect and process personal data when you visit our website, contact us, enter into a commercial relationship with us as a supplier or make use of our services as a prescriber or patient. We also inform you of the conditions of use of our website. By visiting our website, you agree to the Terms of Use.

B. Controller of the data processing and contact

Sonic Suisse Labs SA, Alpenquais 28a, CH – 6005 Luzern (hereinafter “Sonic Suisse” or “we”) is the controller of the data processing described. Sonic Suisse takes the protection of personal data very seriously. Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. Examples include name, address, telephone/fax number, e-mail address and medical data.

We comply with the data protection legislation applicable in Switzerland.

Sonic Suisse only processes your personal data in Switzerland, the EU or the EEA.

D. Collection of general information when you visit our website

When you visit our website, only the data usually recorded is collected, such as the IP address, the date and time, the websites consulted, the amounts of data transferred, the website from which the connection was made and the identification data of the browsers used. The data collected is used solely for the purpose of obtaining general statistical data on the use of the website. We will neither publish this data nor pass it on to third parties without authorisation.

E. Cookies

G. Use of our social media pages

On our social media pages, you will find articles about current developments at Sonic Suisse or in the Sonic Suisse group as well as about our service offering. The social media providers collect and analyse usage data such as the number of visits and demographic data of visitors to our company pages.

We receive evaluations based on this data from the social media providers. These contain only aggregated data or data that is sufficiently anonymised in some other way. Only the provider concerned can identify you on the basis of the usage data collected. Therefore, please take note of the data protection information provided by the respective provider.

H. Newsletter and contact form

You can subscribe to our newsletter in order to receive information by e-mail about medical and technical news and other information about us and our affiliated companies in the Sonic Suisse group. You can also contact us by means of the contact form or by e-mail. We store and process the data you provide solely for the purpose of sending the newsletter or responding to your request, as necessary. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. Should you do so, the data stored for the purpose of obtaining the newsletter will be deleted.

I. Information for patients on medical services

If you make use of our medical services, we also store and process your data, in particular your contact details (e.g. name, address, e-mail address), additional identification data (e.g. date of birth, gender), information on the payer (e.g. insurance and insurance number) as well as other patient data (e.g. sample material and other health data). We only collect data that is necessary for the performance of the service for which we have been commissioned and only for this purpose.

It is also possible that your doctor or another healthcare professional transfers to us, with your consent, data about you that he/she has collected in the course of the treatment, in order to process it, in particular to carry out medical services.

Your data will be treated confidentially, in compliance with the duty of discretion.

J. Information for prescribers (doctors and other healthcare professionals)

Data from the prescriber: When you contact us as a prescriber, Sonic Suisse processes general personal data from the prescriber, such as name and contact details, as well as, if need be, information about your position or role within the organisation on whose behalf you are contacting us. In addition, we process data necessary for the execution of any contracts between the prescriber and us. Such data is provided to us by you, we collect some of it ourselves (e.g. from public registers or websites) or such data is sent to us by third parties.

Patient data: As a prescriber, you regularly transfer patient data to us. In this context, you must ensure that the patient agrees to the data being transferred. External medical services involve the transfer of data between Sonic Suisse and the prescriber, which are each individually to be considered as controllers. This means that both the prescriber and Sonic Suisse must each independently ensure that the data processing complies with the law. If, in the course of the contract execution with the prescriber, Sonic Suisse acts as a processor, a data processing agreement is concluded.

K. Information for candidates

When you apply for a job with us, we process the data you provide, such as your contact details, qualifications and other information on your CV. We process your data until the application process is completed. In the course of the application process, we may pass on your data to another company in the Sonic Suisse group as well as to external third parties (e.g. for assessments) or contact third parties (e.g. to obtain references).

L. Information for suppliers

Supplier data: When you contact us as an employee of a supplier, Sonic Suisse processes the general data of the supplier, respectively of the responsible contact person, such as name and e-mail address, as well as, if need be, information about your position or role within the organisation on whose behalf you are contacting us. In addition, we process data necessary for the execution of any contracts between the supplier and Sonic Suisse.

Personal data of third parties/patient data: In principle, our suppliers do not have access to the personal data of third parties, in particular patient data. If, in the course of the contract execution, a supplier should exceptionally have access to personal data, we will enter into corresponding contractual agreements in order to guarantee data protection.

M. Transmission of personal data to third parties

If this is necessary or beneficial for the registration, the sending of the newsletter, the answering of your query, the medical service or the execution of a contract, including invoicing and collection, we may pass on your data to a Sonic Suisse group company affiliated to us or to an external service provider (e.g. certification bodies, collection companies). The latter are obliged to process the data solely on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions and must comply with the applicable legal provisions. Data is only passed on to public authorities and institutions on the basis of binding legal provisions, such as reporting obligations in the case of infectious diseases, or in response to a court order or official decree

N. Data security

We implement technical and organisational security measures to adequately protect your personal data from accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons. To this end, we use state-of-the-art encryption methods. The security measures we implement are constantly improved in line with technological developments. Nevertheless, internet-based data transmission may have security gaps – absolute protection cannot be guaranteed

Please note that legal conditions and exceptions apply to these rights. Consequently, we may refuse your request to exercise these rights if, for example, this would breach legal obligations such as data retention provisions. Your request may also be refused on the grounds of the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
