Folic acid

Don't forget to eat foods fortified with folic acid, such as green leafy vegetables, cabbage, legumes, whole grain products, tomatoes and oranges. 

Beware of raw meat!

•   In the fridge, ensure that food items do not come into contact with each other. Use plastic wrap.
•   Thoroughly wash salads, fruits, vegetables, and herbs.
•   Avoid eating any products containing raw or undercooked meat. Cook meat thoroughly before eating.
•   Do not eat cheeses or dairy products made from raw milk.
•   Do not eat raw or undercooked shellfish. 

General hygiene measures

Do not use cutlery or glasses that have been used by children. 

Wash your hands frequently

Wear gloves when gardening
